100,000 LED lights float down the Sumida River

As part of the recent Tokyo Hotaru Festival, 100,000 illuminated blue LEDs were released in the Sumida River. The massive installation of solar-powered spheres was meant to mimic a swarm of fireflies that twisted and bobbed along the river by moonlight. For those of you worried about pollution or safety, the lights were later caught downstream by giant nets.

London in a Puddle

For the past few weeks photographer Gavin Hammond has been capturing the beauty of my favourite city in the whole wide world after mumbai - London’s architecture and people as reflected in puddles. Isnt he just awesome ?? What do you think !!

Carved Book Landscapes

For the better part of three decades multidisciplinary artist Guy Laramee has worked as a stage writer, director, composer, a fabricator of musical instruments, a singer, sculptor, painter and writer. Among his sculptural works are two incredible series of carved book landscapes and structures entitled Biblios and The Great Wall, where the dense pages of old books are excavated to reveal serene mountains, plateaus, and ancient structures.

Recycled Plastic Bottles

Designer Garth Britzman of Lincoln, Nebraska used recycled bottles filled with colored water to create stunning topographical shade canopy for a vehicle. I love how the natural shape of the plastic bottles makes the pooled water look like leaves.

Lady Perfume Bottles

While browsing eBay, I was admiring this green perfume bottle collection. Shortly after, I happened upon Rebecca's whimsical ceramic lady perfume bottles with atomiser bulbs. Naturally, I take this to mean the universe wants me to start a vintage perfume bottle collection. They really are quite charming and feminine, aren't they?

A Floating Cinema

This incredible floating cinema is located off Kudu Island in Thailand, originally built for the Film On The Rocks Festival earlier this year. At nightfall, guests are whisked away by a speedboat to arrive on a glowing raft in the middle of Nai Pi Lae Lagoon. Do you have friends who will be honeymooning in Thailand ? Make sure you suggest them this little get away !!

When i was living in Belgium - i remember a similar time... back in 2003 - when i would around everywhere, talking in the spring blosson. in India, we have so much sunshine and such good scope to have these spring googies all around us, but no time to actually stop , sow, water, wait for blosson, and enjoy the blossom.. how i wish i had more time for some gardening.. ! When will that time come ?? : (

Across From Planet Blue

This dreamy sun-drenched Planet Blue lookbook takes me back to when I lived right across the street from their beautiful store in Venice, California... Which would normally prove dangerous, but since I was broke and couldn't spend money there if I tried, and also i wouldnt fit into half their clothes, it was harmless to window shop and play pretend on lazy Sunday afternoon after the farmers market. I'd peruse the racks, smile at a celeb on the way out, and leisurely stroll down the beach. Then walk home to my 300 square foot hotel room
